Lord Narasimha, the fourth incarnation of Lord Vishnu dwells on this hill as Swayambhuvu Idol (not fabriacated and placed by man but formed by his own) in the forms of Jwaala Narasimha, Yoga Narasimha, Gandabherunda Narasimha and Lakshmi Narasimha. The widely accepted belief of devotees is worshipping the Lord on Yaadagiri Hill for forty days (mandalam) would relieve them from incurable diseases.
